Popular Atlanta Art Gallery Celebrates with a Gala to Commemorate Its 10-Year Anniversary and New Midtown Location

Atlanta, Georgia, February 13, 2007 -- On Friday evening, March 9 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Bobbe Gillis Gallery and Fine Framing invites Atlanta area art lovers to their brand new 3700 square foot gallery and artists studio to celebrate and mingle with their present artist and clientele from their previous Buckhead location. The gallery is located in BrickWorks, a newly developed, multi-purpose and urban-chic destination at 1000 Marietta Street, NW, in midtown Atlanta.

"We can't wait to show off our artist's work in our new surroundings. It's their conscious creative talent that grew the business to the point of needing more space," commented Bobbe Gillis, President of Bobbe Gillis Gallery and Fine Framing, "and we couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of the rejuvenation of this neighborhood and to reside at BrickWorks. There's an exciting collective energy here." The staff at Bobbe Gillis Gallery personally handpicked one piece from each of the gallery's 30 artists to highlight at the gallery's upcoming celebration.

Bobbe Gillis Gallery sells a mixed selection of contemporary, transitional and traditional art. Gillis refers to the collection as "art you can live with", art meant for enjoyment versus artwork to merely observe. New artists keep the collection fresh. The business dedicates itself to client satisfaction and a continuous investment in art resources. The Gallery's clients range from large corporate customers such as The Dekalb Medical Center who recently commissioned 400 pieces, the personal design consultant or individual collector. "It's so encouraging. We're seeing companies once again budget upfront to incorporate art into the project design plan rather than purchasing art to decorate as an afterthought." Gillis sees this trend continuing with the resurgence of interest she receives by corporate designers on behalf of their clients. "Our move couldn't have come at a better time."

Artists represented in the Bobbe Gillis Gallery collection are Clara Blalock, Elsie Dresch, Judy Bynum George, Janet Mozley, Michael Shagina and Liefje Smith to name a few. The most important artist and public exhibit to date according to Gillis is Barbara Fountain and her "Art of Healing" fundraising exhibition. The event, in honor of Barbara's late husband, Carlton Parker, benefited research for an Alzheimer Disease cure and an improved quality of life for Alzheimer patients in the community.

Formerly Bobbe Gillis Inc., Professional Art Services, Gillis' gallery and public art exhibitions featured in numerous art, entertainment and design publications including Piedmont Review, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and state projects have been lauded for the resources, expertise and knowledge Gillis' consulting team collectively brought in. In addition to Gillis, the business employs four well-educated professional art consultants and five highly qualified framing craftspeople.
