Eco-Friendly Practices In Our Business

Our framing design concept is to create beautiful timeless product that will stand the test of time without compromising our environment. There is a growing awareness of our collective impact upon the planet. Bobbe Gillis Gallery is in the forefront of exploring ways of introducing eco-friendly practices to our business.

We actively seek out framing sources who supply environmentally-friendly products. Larson- Juhl Moulding is a major supplier for us who has partnered with the Global ReLeaf Forest Foundation which assists with forest restoration around the world. Other suppliers have pledged to use no endangered woods & to use only sustainable products. We have introduced truly natural frames without toxic finishes. We are addressing each of the suppliers we work with to help them realize the growing interest in green-certified product.

Another way we try to be earth friendly is to recycle whenever possible. We donate mat scraps to schools for art projects and continue to search for recyclers of commercial glass product. We are also working with our business partners at MidtownWest in acquiring a divided bin that will allow the separation of (waste). Finally, we are working to convert to a fully e-based marketing program that will reduce paper production.
